About Us

Gypsy Wagon Wares

Free-spirited, creative and always good vibes---it's what we live by here at Gypsy Wagon Wares. We're in the business of making hand-crafted cutting boards with a funky twist. Our designs range from animal-shaped cutting boards to fruit-shaped boards as seen with our signature pineapple cutting board. We bring fun to the kitchen with an artful play on functional items. And the quality? Well, we like to think it speaks for itself. All of our boards are crafted from Ozark natural hardwoods namely red and white oak mediums because of its supreme durability. Applied with a hand-rubbed application of mineral oil, our cutting boards are all-natural and non-toxic.

The early days of Gypsy Wagon Wares began as a hobby in the 1980s when owner Ron Hostetter started making cutting boards. Through the years, he began dabbling with creative designs which prompted him to start his wholesale business, Hostetter & Company Wood Works in 1990.

Fast-forward to 2006, and we see the company's transition to its well-known title today---Gypsy Wagon Wares. Since then, he and partner Karen Diamond have been making beautiful, hand-crafted folk art and cutting boards beloved by all. Traveling in their signature wagon, you can find them vending at major music festivals all across the United States!
